07 Jun Newsletter (Sathorn) 7th June 2019
Dear Hampton Families,
It is extremely hard to put into words just how incredible the 2018/2019 academic year has been. From first experiences to first spoken words to first read stories to booming confidence, independence and adventure-seeking attitudes – Hampton children really are the best of the best! Not only do we at Hampton know this, but it is reinforced each week when Coach Paul, Mr. Sunny, Ms. Alex, Ms. Pik and our After School Club teachers tell us just how amazing our students are and that they love coming on their respective day(s). Our specialist teachers are quick to comment on our children’s excellent listening, polite manners, strong confidence and their willingness to try anything new!
I cannot thank you, our families, enough for your unwavering support, encouragement, generosity, participation, feed-back and trust in Hampton International Pre-School, Sathorn Campus. Our ‘home away from home’ is truly a remarkable place; we couldn’t create and have this unique environment without you! The smiles upon our children’s faces each day make every day better than the last. A giant congratulations to all children for such a fantastic year; the growth and progress in each child is astounding! It is now time for our children to take the next steps on their grand learning journeys, whether it be at Hampton or elsewhere … we know a remarkable adventure awaits!
The last week of school, 4th-6th June, was a special one for all classes. Tender last moments, warm hugs and smiles and group-fun made it that much more memorable!
On Tuesday, 4th June, the Nursery 2, Kindergarten 1 and Kindergarten 2 children were greeted with surprise guests – Coach Jed and Coach Mim from PJ Tennis Academy. We are absolutely thrilled to announce, and with great excitement, that our K1, K2 and Y1 students for the 2019/2020 academic year will have weekly tennis lessons added to their already thrilling timetables (don’t worry, this is in addition to Coach Paul and football)! Tuesday’s just got a lot more fun and we cannot wait to watch the children grow through their active participation! Coach Jed comes to us from Australia, along with Paradorn Srichaphan, whose name you may recognise as a famous Thai tennis player. We are honoured to have them at Hampton and know that their programme will be an amazing addition to our active and creative curriculum!
On Wednesday, 5th June, the Kindergarten 2 Oak Class welcomed their Mums and Dads in for a special morning to showcase their learning journeys since the start of the school year. This is Hampton’s first ever graduating class of K2 students and we cannot be prouder of them. They are moving to Year 1 with great confidence, especially in their reading, writing and maths. As always, wonderful adventures are just around the corner in a new classroom and with a new teacher, Mr. Jannie! Keep up the great work, soon-to-be Redwood Class!
On Thursday, 6th June, the whole-school came together, one last time, for a celebration; a celebration of friendships, learning, growth and class changes come August. Our sly detectives were put to a few last tests, but as always, the Hampton children prevailed with great ease and enthusiasm. What a way to end the year!
Please enjoy the following pages of this week’s newsletter as each teacher wrote a special message and included a few of their favourite pictures from the school year!
From everyone at Hampton, thank you and see you soon! We wish you the best until we see you next!
Kindest of regards,
Ms. Erin Burney
Head of School
