22 Mar Newsletter (Sathorn) 22nd March 2019
Dear Hampton Families,
Weathermen, artists, farmers, shopkeepers, mail carriers, zookeepers, chefs … oh my!
Our school-wide ‘Jobs People Do’ theme is off to a brilliant start (week 2) with our, ever so clever, active and imaginative children.
The language that can be heard around the school is astounding as the children take on different roles and “jump into character”!
The Nursery 1 Daisy Class put on their paint smocks and gave a nod to Picasso and Michael Angelo as they explored their artistic sides!
Colours, textures, shapes, patterns … the Daisies sure did do it all this week!
Next door in the Nursery 2 Maple Class, the children were very efficient and thorough as they took on the role of being a weatherman/woman while reporting the weather during Circle Time each day.
They saw clouds, sun and wind this week – unfortunately, no rainbows or snow!
Upstairs, the Kindergarten 1 Palm Class gathered, cared for, organised, and counted animals as they put on their zookeeper hats and tended to our animal friends’ needs!
Next door to the Palms’, the Kindergarten 2 Oak Class was busy themselves; writing, sorting, stamping, sealing and delivering letters as they acted as mail carriers!
Next week sees the whole school embarking on an adventure of travel by learning about pilots, air hostesses, stewards and travel agents!
All this fun leads up to our much-anticipated International Day celebration on Friday 29th March from 8:00am-9:30am in our school garden.
Here, you and your family will get to travel to the 7 different continents through activities, games, sensory-play, music and more!
Please don’t forget to bring a dish to share from your home country or a family favourite!
Everyone will then get to sample food from all around the world.
We look forward to celebrating with you!
School pictures are in and they look fantastic!
Please stop by the school office next week to preview your child’s photos; you can then choose to purchase either package 1 or package 2; cash only.
More information can be found at the end of this week’s newsletter!
Have a wonderful weekend and we hope to see you on the 29th,
Ms. Erin Burney
Head of School
